I have broken my information down further using plain language to allow visitors to clearly gather what they need from my website, Understand it, and use it to fulfill their purpose. They are able to do so because I have made my content clear, concise and correct. When creating my new post it was incredibly important to keep the user in mind as this is the main idea of plain language, to satisfy the user. I kept in mind what the user really would like to know from my website and created concise blurbs on those topics. For example I decided to create lists rather than paragraphs for the topics that made sense because it is much easier to scan. Keeping in mind that scanning is typically how the web user reads web content. This allowed for clear content that would allow for the user to understand the content and use it to fulfill their purpose. For the other topics that lists did not make sense for, I made the blurbs very short and to the point. I took out filler sentences and wrote in everyday language to create clear content. This allowed for the content to be concise and clear. Using everyday language and considering what the user will be searching for on my site was my way of keeping the content short and concise. I also made sure to use headers that made the most sense for the content provided below them. This included headings like, “Choosing Your Wedding Dress” , “Planning Your Wedding Day”, “What We Represent”, “Windsor Weddings” and “Planning a wedding? Here’s what you need to know”. All of these headings are clear, concise, and correct which allows users to gather what they need from my website, Understand it, and use it to fulfill their purpose.
